College Council Announces New Chair of College Council & Results of 2023 By-Election for Central Region Councillor
The College of Registered Nurses is pleased to announce that Ms. Megan Hudson, Regional Councillor – Labrador-Grenfell has been elected Chair of the College Council for Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador. Ms. Hudson replaces outgoing College Chair Tracy McDonald – Central Region Councillor.

As newly elected Chair, Ms. Hudson announces the results of the by-election for the Central Region Councillor vacancy (June 2023-2024). Ms. Tonya Ryan has been elected by acclamation to the position of Central Region Councillor.
Ms. Hudson and Ms. Ryan assumed their positions following the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on June 7, 2023.
The College Council is comprised of 10 registered nurses (RNs) elected by the membership and four public representatives appointed by the Independent Appointments Commission (IAC). The RN Act (2008) staggers the terms of office for the RN positions.
