Call for Volunteers—NCSBN NCLEX Exam Development Meetings
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN®) is recruiting Registered Nurse (RN) Volunteers (criteria below) to participate in the two upcoming NCLEX exam development meetings that will take place in Chicago, Illinois as follows:
NCLEX-RN Practice Analysis Expert Panel Meeting – November 11-13, 2019
NCLEX-RN Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) Expert Panel Meeting – December 4-6, 2019
NCSBN conducts both an RN Practice Analysis and an RN KSA meeting every three years in order to ensure that the NCLEX-RN exam continues to reflect current nursing practice.
Both meetings will be composed of a variety of members, representing the NCLEX test user areas including Canadian territories/jurisdictions, and various clinical specialties and practice settings. Members of both panels must meet the following criteria:
- RN with an active nursing license/registration in good standing
- Current clinical practice
- Supervises, precepts, and/or mentors newly licensed RNs (within their first 12 months of practice)
- Has not participated in nursing licensure examination development activities, including development of nursing licensure exam preparation guides and courses, in the previous two years
Interested and qualified individuals can put their names forth for consideration by responding directly to registration@arnnl.ca by July 29, 2019 with their name, email address and phone number (this information will be forwarded to NCSBN).
NCSBN staff will contact the recommended nurse volunteer(s) directly with the application process and next steps. Given there is limited number of panel seats and selection criteria, not all interested person will be selected. NCSBN will cover travel-related expenses, such as airfare, lodging and meals, for panelists.
