Call for Volunteers – NCLEX-RN Standard Setting Panel of Judges

NCSBN is currently recruiting qualified nurse volunteers to serve on an upcoming NCLEX-RN Standard Setting Panel of Judges, scheduled for July 15-17, 2025 in Chicago, IL, to discuss entry-level registered nurse (RN) activities.

The Standard Setting Panel of Judges plays a critical role in providing important information, based on the experience and knowledge understood from working with entry-level nurses, to the NCSBN Board of Directors for setting the final passing standard for the next three years of the NCLEX-RN exam.

The Standard Setting Panel of Judges will be composed of a minimum of nine members, representing the NCSBN geographic areas, Canadian territories/jurisdictions and various clinical practice areas.

Members of the panel must meet the following criteria:

  • RN with an active nursing license in good standing
  • Employed as a nurse for at least 2 years
  • Current clinical practice
  • Works with, precepts and/or supervises newly licensed RNs within their first 12 months of practice

Please email [email protected] by February 21, 2025 if you are interested in having your name put forward as a potential participant. You must meet all of the criteria noted above.

The College will provide the names of qualified individuals to NSCBN who will contact the nominees directly with next steps and provide the online volunteer application. Please note that NCSBN will cover travel-related expenses, including airfare, lodging and meals, for panel members.
