As a registered member of the College, you have regular responsibilities to keep your licence current. Find information on how to renew or reinstate your licence, return to practice, meet fee and liability requirements, and manage your information through the Nurse Portal. Returning to Practice

Are you a nurse who is coming back to practice after a planned leave? Or returning after practicing outside of NL? Or maybe you missed the March 31st deadline. Find everything you need to know about returning.

Fees

Each year, nurses must pay licensure and service fees. The Board of Directors reviews and approves the licensure fees each year. Service fees are based on the amount of staff time and resources required.

Liability Protection

All nurses must have professional liability protection. Find information on LPN coverage through Navacord, and RNs, NPs, and RPNs coverage through CNPS. If you’re self‑employed find out what additional business insurance you may need.

Employers can easily confirm a nurse’s licence through the College’s public directories. Alternatively, use the Employer Directory, for up-to-date nurse registration information.

Nurse Portal

The Nurse Portal lets you manage your membership with the College: renew or reactivate your licence, log CCP learning, manage account details, and access key documents. Use the email and password linked to your profile.
