College Consultation – Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID)
The College currently has two documents intended to provide direction in relation to the regulatory responsibilities for Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID): RNs and NPs aiding in MAID and NPs providing MAID.
An updated draft document consolidates the two existing documents and is intended to create a single, clearer and more concise, guidance document. Updates to the draft document also reflect the latest legal and regulatory requirements.
The College is currently seeking feedback on the draft document.
